One of the greatest challenges faced by institutions today is keeping pace with a rapidly evolving compliance and enrollment reporting ecosystem. It’s easy to become overwhelmed by new regulatory requirements, auditor requests and questions, and increased reporting demands.  With the formation of its Data Excellence & Operations Department, the Clearinghouse offers institutions a one-stop and cutting-edge resource for institutional compliance and student reporting needs.

According to Jonell Sanchez, Vice President of Education Services, “Data Excellence & Operations brings together an unprecedented level of expertise and experience in compliance, file processing, and data excellence and integrity in a single group. This is the dream team that schools need to meet today and tomorrow’s compliance and reporting challenges.”

The department combines and expands the resources and expertise of our School Operations and Audit Resource Center areas. Under the leadership of Sean McTighe, Director of Data Excellence & Operations; Kristie Jarrett and Dan Markowitz, Managers of Data Integrity and Operations; Tina Damico, Manager of Data Excellence; and Grace Stankiewicz, Manager of the Audit Resource Center, the new team will execute initiatives that help to ensure data integrity, timeliness of reporting and process transparency.

“Our focus is keeping schools in compliance using all the tools at our disposal,” said department director, Sean McTighe, “To that end, we regularly introduce procedural improvements and technical innovations to streamline reporting and reduce schools’ workload. In addition, we provide subject matter expertise and training through the Clearinghouse Academy, audit support, and information resources, like Compliance Central. As importantly, we advocate on behalf of our participating schools with FSA and keep schools updated on regulatory changes.”

Most recently, the team provided information on FSA’s summer enrollment reporting guidance, including new and upcoming enhancements to ensure institutions’ continued compliance.

As the world of compliance and enrollment reporting continues to change, be assured our dream team will be here to support your institution every step of the way!
